Pediatric Orthopedics

Care for growing bones: congenital and developmental conditions, gait problems and limb differences in children.

Children are not small adults. Growth can correct some problems on its own and make others worse, so timing matters. Many conditions are followed with observation, bracing or casting, and surgery is reserved for cases that need it.

Conditions commonly treated

  • Clubfoot (CTEV)
  • Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH)
  • Bowlegs and knock-knees, including Blount disease
  • Limb length discrepancy
  • Congenital limb differences
  • In-toeing and gait abnormalities

When to book a consultation

Persistent pain, a visible deformity, a difference in limb length, a fracture that hasn't healed properly, or a second opinion before surgery.
